The dream of the present model came alive few month ago, and is still in the process. During this time period, more and more design aspects came to light, which became essential to the creation of the final model. Parallel to the development process, we continuously monitored the state of the market for electric bicycles and e-bikes, the design trends which often lead to blind alleys.
Unfortunately these prototypes showed flaws in the landing gear geometry and the attachment of the motor drive. The concept for both were revised technically enhanced prototype. This latter was developed to 98% production and market ready state. It could have entered mass production anytime, but we were still not 100% satisfied with it. In the next step, we not only refined the technologies employed, but created brand new ones, completely redesigned some aspects of the design to create the 5th prototype which reflected the most recent developments in technology. We also managed to solve some problems concerning production technology, which in turn required a new drive system. We chose the highest quality components, including the Brembo brake system and extra-strong, DH accessories. We also managed to introduce new exclusive ideas. The main development aspects included the integration of a higher voltage, greater capacity, and much better quality battery cell into the frame.
The development of the electric motor assist unit alone took awhile as we had to solve many difficulties on the way. Since the redesigned drive theory had started functioning properly, it took another year to come up with the final concept of the production model.
We always had a clear concept of what kind of design we wanted to see, we still had to find the best way to reach this goal but with the newest incarnation of our hybrid bike we are very close
